Yankees VS Orioles: Players to lookout for

Let’s first look at the yankees line up, Adam Warren last pitched in Sunday’s 8-5 win at Boston with his third year with the yankees is proving his worth. He hasnt been really great, but hes pitched well enough for his team to have won four of his five starts. He was credited with two of those wins, and allowed just one run in the game they lost.



Masahiro Tanaka who has been recovering from tendinitis in his right wrist and strain in his forearm, he threw for the first time after the injury was announced. He threw 50 balls from 60 feet.

Alex Rodriguez surpassed Hall of Famer Willie Mays for fourth plac when hit his 661st career home run. The home run came on a 1-1 pitch from the Baltimore OriolesChris Tillman. Hes certainly one of the all-time greats.

Jacoby Ellsbury now hitting .363 this season and .487 (21-for-42) during this streak and that is 10 games in a row. If he continues his streak for 11th game straight, Orioles better be ready to pack their bags early.

Ivan Nova, threw two innings in an extended spring training game Thursday.According to the reports about the session for Nova, who threw about 24 to 28 pitches and looks ready to go.

Now, for Baltimore Oriales. theyll be trying to avoid their 4th consecutive loss.

Ryan Flaherty has been on the disabled list with a groin injury since April 24 and before getting hurt he played primarily at second base. Hes expected to be back Friday night against the Yankees. He took batting practice at Yankee Stadium. He was hitting .300 with two home runs in nine games before the injury.

On Thursday, Steve Pearce returned to the starting lineup after not starting the previous two games with a stomach illness. Pearce did some indoor practice on May 5, though he didn't play in the game. He returned to action May 6 as a pinch-hitter.

Matt Wieters whos been out from Tommy John surgery is also caught seven innings in an extended spring training game Thursday and was behind the plate for the second time in three days.


Chris Davis although struck out four times, and havent done enough this season to take the team forward, but it could be his day.
