Let’s
first look at the yankees line up, Adam Warren last pitched in Sunday’s 8-5 win at Boston with his third year with the
yankees is proving his worth. He hasn’t been really great, but he’s pitched well enough for his team to have won four of
his five starts. He was credited with two of those wins, and allowed just one
run in the game they lost.
Masahiro Tanaka who has been recovering from tendinitis in his right wrist
and strain in his forearm, he threw for the first time after the injury was
announced. He threw 50 balls from 60 feet.
Alex Rodriguez surpassed Hall of Famer Willie Mays for fourth plac when
hit his 661st career home run. The home run came on a 1-1 pitch from the
Baltimore Orioles’ Chris Tillman. He’s certainly one of the all-time
greats.
Jacoby Ellsbury now hitting .363 this season and .487 (21-for-42) during
this streak and that is 10 games in a row. If he continues his streak for 11th
game straight, Orioles better be ready to pack their bags early.
Ivan Nova, threw two innings
in an extended spring training game Thursday.According to the reports about the
session for Nova, who threw about 24 to 28 pitches and looks ready to go.
Now,
for Baltimore Oriales. they’ll be trying to avoid their 4th
consecutive loss.
Ryan Flaherty has been on the disabled list with a groin injury since
April 24 and before getting hurt he played primarily at second base. He’s expected to be back Friday night against the Yankees. He
took batting practice at Yankee Stadium. He was hitting .300 with two home runs
in nine games before the injury.
On
Thursday, Steve Pearce returned to the starting lineup after not
starting the previous two games with a stomach illness. Pearce did some indoor
practice on May 5, though he didn't play in the game. He returned to action May
6 as a pinch-hitter.
Matt Wieters who’s been out from Tommy John surgery is also caught seven
innings in an extended spring training game Thursday and was behind the plate
for the second time in three days.
